UBS sees global economic rebound in 2026 as tariff effects to subside

Global financial institution UBS predicted the global economy could expand by around three percent in 2026, surpassing its 2025 forecast. However, the investment bank warned that uncertainty from US policies could pose risks to global economic performance. CGTN sat down with Arend Kapteyn, global head of economics and strategy research and chief economist at UBS, for his insights.
