Wu Yize made easy work of Chinese compatriot Xiao Guodong, storming into the semifinals on his debut with a 6-0 win at the Masters in London, England, on Friday.

Both Wu and Xiao are playing for the first time at the tournament and they did well to set up this all-Chinese clash at Alexandra Palace.

Wu couldn't build much of a break in the first fame, but Xiao missed an easy chance too, giving Wu an open table. The 22-year-old took full advantage and the International Championship champion compiled a century-break of 112 to take the lead.

Runs of 93 and 60 helped Wu increase his lead to 4-0 by the mid-session interval. After the break, Xiao was still unable to find his rhythm. The 36-year-old struggled to build any meaningful momentum.

Wu had a break of 84, enough for him to win the fifth frame before he rounded off the perfect afternoon with a superb run of 97 to complete the 6-0 whitewash and book his place in the last four. He will face Kyren Wilson in the semifinals after he held off a brilliant comeback against Neil Robertson.
