Trade between China and Central Asian countries reached a historic $106.3 billion in 2025, surpassing $100 billion for the first time and marking five years of continuous growth. China is now the region's largest trading partner. Exports from China to Central Asia hit $71.2 billion, a rise of 11 percent, driven by strong demand for machinery and high-tech products. Imports from the region totaled $35.1 billion, up 14 percent, with a broader range of non-resource products such as chemicals, steel and agricultural goods.
