In Baoting County, Hainan Province, lies a natural wonder – the Xian'an Stone Forest. This is not the Stone Forest of Yunnan nor the karst landscape of Guilin, Guangxi, but a rare karst formation located at China's southernmost low-altitude tropical Island. It combines peculiar peaks, fantastical rocks, karst caves and primeval forests, earning it the title "a gem among southern stone forests."

In recent years, Baoting has leveraged the stone forest to actively develop ethnic cultural tourism.
