China opposes any attempt to use baseless 'China threat' claims as an excuse to seek selfish gains, said Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun at a press briefing in Beijing on Thursday.

Guo was responding to a media query about recent developments related to Greenland, a self-governing territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, with Copenhagen retaining control over defense and foreign policy.
