At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that China does not use wind power and relies mainly on coal.

However, official data reveals that China's installed wind power capacity has ranked first globally for 15 consecutive years. As of the end of November 2025, the country's total wind power capacity had exceeded 600 gigawatts, enough to power more than 500 million homes.
