Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, U.S. President Donald Trump sought immediate negotiations to acquire Greenland from Denmark for security and development. He ruled out the use of force but insisted that America alone could protect "this giant piece of ice." EU chiefs have criticized the U.S. tariff threats over Greenland as "simply wrong" and illegal, vowing to defend sovereignty and hit back if needed.
