China–Armenia visa-free agreement marked its sixth anniversary on Monday, a pivotal milestone in enhancing cross-border travel and fostering deeper people-to-people ties. 

In recent years, Urumqi, the vibrant capital of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has emerged as a primary gateway for travelers heading to Armenia and neighboring Caucasus destinations. This strategic connectivity not only facilitates seamless mobility but also injects fresh momentum into cultural exchanges under the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthening regional cooperation and mutual understanding.
