Lantern World in Zigong came alive through light as the 32nd International Dinosaur Lantern Festival opened.
The festival is spread across 10 themed zones, including an avenue of Chinese knots, a luck-and-prosperity square and a section dedicated to the legend of Mulan. It also highlights traditional craftsmanship and folk art, with 11 large lantern installations and more than 200 smaller displays.
Together, the illuminations create an immersive nightscape for visitors, using traditional lantern art to tell modern Chinese stories.
