UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer criticized U.S. President Donald Trump after he suggested NATO allies avoided front-line combat in Afghanistan.
Starmer said the remarks were "insulting and appalling," noting that 457 British service members died during the conflict. Trump made the comments in a Fox News interview, appearing unaware of allied casualties following the 9/11 attacks.
Starmer added that he would apologize if he had misspoken in such a way.
