The renowned Zigong Lantern Show kicked off in Zigong, Sichuan Province on Friday, unfolding a dazzling nighttime wonderland. Hundreds of illuminated lantern installations create an immersive experience, drawing visitors into a vibrant sea of light and color.
Spanning more than 43 hectares, this year's show features 11 clusters of large-scale lantern installations, along with over 200 small and medium-sized lantern displays. The event will run until March 3.
One of the standout attractions is a lantern cluster inspired by more than 6,000 children's paintings collected from over 40 countries and regions.
Adding to the spectacle, a drone performance on Friday night saw 2,026 drones form dynamic aerial patterns, delighting crowds with a fusion of technology and artistry.
With a history stretching back centuries, the Zigong Lantern Show has been recognized as a national-level intangible cultural heritage of China and is internationally known for its exquisite craftsmanship.
