Minus 40 degrees Celsius. Still running. No jacket, no complaints. This is the Sanhe horse, one of China's three famous horse breeds.
Originating in the Sanhe area of Hulunbuir in north China's Inner Mongolia, the breed was developed in the 20th century through crossbreeding between local Mongolian horses and selected breeds from Russia, Britain, France and the U.S. The result is a rare blend of speed, endurance and adaptability. CGTN's Guo Meiping brings you the story of this remarkable cold-weather champion.
