In a crucial showdown on Sunday, Chinese badminton star Chen Yufei outclassed Thailand's Pitchamon Opatniput to clinch the women's singles title at the 2026 Indonesia Masters.  

The top seed seized control early in the opening game, establishing a lead that initially seemed insurmountable. 

However, Pitchamon refused to back down, battling back to level the score at 20-all. Yet, in a display of composure, Chen rallied to secure the first game with a narrow 23-21 victory.

The second game proved to be equally competitive in its outset, with Pitchamon applying significant pressure. 

Nonetheless, Chen gradually asserted her dominance, pulling away with precision and determination. She closed out the match decisively at 21-13.
