Have you ever wondered about the horses depicted in the famous Terracotta Army? Many experts believe they were Hequ horses, one of China's three most renowned breeds.

Originating from western China, specifically Gansu, Qinghai, and Sichuan provinces, near the first great bend of the Yellow River, Hequ horses are well adapted to harsh plateau climates and can travel 40 to 50 kilometers a day.
