In Tekes County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the wetland transforms into an ice lake in winter. Water flowing through cracks creates a rare "forest on ice" – tree-like patterns formed by snow and ice, resembling ink strokes on a natural canvas. Some look like young saplings, others like gnarled old trees, lightly dusted with snow for a misty, poetic effect. This unique spectacle captures winter's romance, frozen in the ice and water.
