A passenger plane carrying 15 people made an emergency landing in the sea off Nabire, Indonesia, on January 27 shortly after takeoff. The Smart Air Cessna 208B, flying from Nabire to Kaimana in West Papua, remained afloat, allowing passengers to evacuate safely onto the fuselage and wings. An investigation into the incident is underway.
