Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with a Hamas delegation on Monday to discuss developments related to the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, according to the state-run TRT broadcaster.

The two sides also discussed the humanitarian situation in Gaza and other regional issues, the TRT reported, citing anonymous ministry sources. Fidan assured the delegation that Türkiye would continue its efforts to ensure that much-needed humanitarian aid reaches Gaza.

The meeting came as international discussions continued over the new phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and the delivery of humanitarian assistance.

In September 2025, the Trump administration unveiled a 20-point, three-phase Gaza peace plan to end the Israel-Hamas conflict that broke out in October 2023.

Earlier this month, the Trump administration announced the launch of the second phase of the peace plan, shifting the focus from ceasefire to demilitarization, technocratic governance, and reconstruction.

During the first phase of the deal, both Israel and Hamas repeatedly accused each other of violations.
