The Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) party will jointly hold a think-tank forum in Beijing on February 3, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council announced on Wednesday.
The forum will be co-hosted by research institutes affiliated with the two parties, spokesperson Zhang Han said at a regular press conference.
Representatives from the CPC and the KMT, along with figures from the tourism, industrial, technological, medical and environmental sectors across both sides of the Taiwan Strait, as well as experts and scholars, will attend the forum.
Participants will engage in in-depth discussions on topics including the tourism industry, environment and cooperation on sustainable development, exchange views on strengthening collaboration and jointly explore major plans for the development of cross-Strait relations with the aim of advancing the interests and well-being of people on both sides.
