A stray dog fell into a frozen lake in a Beijing park on January 19 while trying to drink water and was unable to climb back out. A passerby tried to help using a swimming ring but failed. Moments later, a brave man stepped in, stripped down, broke through the ice with his hands and jumped in to rescue the dog. The dog was taken to a local pet hospital for treatment and is now safe, healthy and adopted.
