Western India plane crash kills deputy chief minister, four others

A private plane carrying Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar crashed in western India on January 28, killing him and four others on board. The aircraft, which was traveling from Mumbai to Baramati, went down in an open field and burst into flames about 254 kilometers from Mumbai. Local authorities confirmed there were no survivors.
