As the United States opts out of the Paris Agreement once again, questions are growing over what that means for global climate governance and the fight against warming.

According to UN data, the Paris Agreement was adopted by 194 parties plus the EU, representing nearly the entire globe in a historic pact to fight climate change. The deal was designed to keep temperature rise well below two degrees Celsius and mobilize trillions in climate finance. Attention is now turning to whether the world's momentum can hold and who bears the responsibility to lead.

CGTN reporter Cen Ziyuan speaks to Zhang Xiliang, director of the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology at Tsinghua University, to look at how the global climate table is being reshaped.
