Chinese President Xi Jinping met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Beijing on Thursday. 

President Xi stressed that amid a complex global landscape, the two sides should strengthen dialogue and cooperation, uphold mutual respect, and act with courage in pursuing what serves the fundamental interests of their peoples. Starmer said the UK seeks a long-term, consistent and strategic partnership with China and looks forward to deeper cooperation.
