A permanent exhibition titled "Foreign-made Treasures: Exhibition of Foreign Artifacts from the Summer Palace Collection" is on view at the Summer Palace Museum in Beijing, offering a rare glimpse into China's cultural exchanges in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The exhibition features 93 sets of those artifacts presented to the Qing court by envoys from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan and beyond. The U.K.-made objects such as gilt-bronze clocks, tableware, and grooming tools illustrate a long-standing cultural exchange between the two sides.
