An 11-year-old female Komodo dragon at Taiyuan Zoo recently hatched two eggs through parthenogenesis without contact with a male. Both hatchlings are in good condition. It is the first successful case of Komodo dragon parthenogenesis in China, the first in Asia and reportedly the fourth in a zoo worldwide.
