Moscow has been blanketed by its heaviest snowfall in 203 years, with almost 92 mm of precipitation recorded this month. "Deep and extensive cyclones" brought as much as 60 cm of snow in some areas of the capital, disrupting transport. Russia's Far East has also been blasted by snowstorms triggering emergencies.
