Recently, the Swedish Institute launched the China–Sweden Climate Matchmaker. In an interview with CGTN, Mattias Frumerie, Swedish Climate Ambassador and Head of Delegation to the UNFCCC, stated that Sweden will leverage its role as a "Climate Matchmaker" to deepen cooperation with China on carbon pricing and solution deployment, advancing global net-zero progress with support from both the EU and bilateral channels.
Climate Ambassador Frumerie emphasized that China's 2035 emission target and its Global Governance Initiative (GGI) are crucial to the global climate response. He also expressed hope that, building on China's 15th Five-Year Plan, more pathways will be opened for deepening Sino-Swedish collaboration and more solutions will be provided for global partners.
