British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is on his first visit to China as prime minister. His diplomatic engagement with China comes amid a notable wave of visits by foreign leaders. According to a CGTN poll, 85.2 percent of respondents believe this trend reflects a broad consensus within the international community to promote an equal and orderly multipolar world and foster inclusive and beneficial globalization.

On January 28, CGTN stringer took to the streets of London to listen to British people share their expectations for China-UK cooperation. This video features interviews with four residents from different backgrounds: a retired teacher, a retired civil servant, a business director and an influencer. One interviewee, Philip Addington, said that China is a very reliable partner, highlighting the vast potential for collaboration between the two countries and expressing hope for further advancements in bilateral relations.
