Bulgarian President Iliana Iotova said in an interview with China Media Group (CMG) that advancing gender equality remains a long-term global challenge, despite notable progress over the past three decades. She praised the high-level and effective organization of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women held in Beijing last year, and noted that the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action has long served as an important foundation for promoting equality between men and women.
