The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command on Saturday conducted combat readiness patrols in the territorial waters and airspace around Huangyan Dao in the South China Sea.

Since January, the theater troops have deployed naval and air forces to continuously strengthen patrols and vigilance, enhance control and management of relevant areas, resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and security, and firmly maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea region.
