A new-generation liquefied natural gas carrier, Tianshan, was officially delivered in Shanghai on January 30, 2026, nearly two months ahead of schedule.
The vessel has a carrying capacity of 174,000 cubic meters of LNG, enough to supply around 3.3 million households for an entire month, roughly the size of a major Chinese city.
Tianshan is equipped with the world's latest dual-fuel, low-speed propulsion system, capable of running on both conventional oil and LNG. Compared with traditional oil-powered vessels, the ship can reduce carbon emissions by around 10 tonnes per day.
