At least one person was killed and 14 others injured after an explosion occurred at a building in the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, with the cause of the blast still unknown, Iranian state media reported Saturday, citing a local official.

The explosion took place at an eight-story building, destroying two floors and several vehicles, the report said.

Rescue and firefighting teams were on site to provide assistance.
