Iran's army chief said on Saturday that Iran's armed forces are fully prepared in terms of defense and military readiness.
Amir Hatami, Chief Commander of the Iranian Army, said that Iran's defense capabilities are "indestructible," noting that the country's missile systems as well as its offensive and defensive capacities have been significantly enhanced following the "Twelve-Day War." He said the Iranian armed forces are now on full combat readiness.
Issuing a stern warning, Hatami said any mistake or act of aggression by the enemy would be met with a crushing and decisive response. He added that Iran is maintaining close and continuous surveillance over all regional military developments.
Regional tensions have remained high in recent days as the United States continues to deploy more military assets to the Middle East. According to reports, the U.S. has stationed at least 10 warships in the region and dispatched 42 transport aircraft over the past week.
Meanwhile, Washington has sent signals of dialogue while simultaneously increasing military and diplomatic pressure on Iran. In response, Iranian officials have responded with a hard-line stance, reiterating that any act of aggression by hostile forces will be answered firmly and without hesitation.
