It's been six years since America "couldn't breathe," yet the cycle of violence in Minneapolis continues. Why? Because "qualified immunity" still acts as a legal "get-out-of-jail-free" card for those in power, while the law enforcement system itself continues to weaken accountability. When the law protects power instead of people, the scales of justice are already tipped.
