In western Moscow, people enter the icy waters of the Moscow River as a form of relaxation. Participants wear rescue wetsuits to keep warm and experience a feeling of weightlessness. This activity, known as ice floating, is growing in popularity in Russia.
The Murmansk region and Lake Baikal are among the most popular destinations, but this winter the practice has reached the Russian capital, where temperatures in January and February can drop to minus 20 degrees Celsius.
