China Media Group will be the only global media organization involved in the production of the 8K international public signals at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, while also serving as the main provider of 8K international public signals for the opening and closing ceremonies, in addition to producing international public signal for figure skating and short track speed skating for the first time.

On January 13th, CMG's "China Red" 4K/8K ultra-high-definition broadcasting vehicles arrived at the San Siro Stadium in Milan and have completed their deployment. This edition marks CMG's first time participating in the production of 8K international public signals for an Olympic-level opening ceremony as an equipment and technical support provider.

"Previously, technical support for all Olympic opening ceremonies was provided by European or American companies," said CMG First Broadcasting Department Engineer Yin Jiahui. "It's truly a great pride for us Chinese to participate in the production of public signals for the opening ceremony."

CMG will also undertake international public signal production for figure skating and short track speed skating for the first time ever at the upcoming Games.

Nearly 500 CMG staff members have been deployed to Italy to carry out broadcast coverage and public signal production at the Winter Olympics, with the aim of delivering a world-class immersive viewing experience for global audiences.
