Cidan Yuzhen and Buluer of China finished in 10th place in the mixed relay event at the ISMF Ski Mountaineering World Cup in Boi Taull, Spain, on Sunday.

The latest World Cup stop serves as the last warm-up for the Chinese team ahead of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. In the mixed relay, each team features one male and one female athlete, who take turns competing.

Two Chinese pairs participated in this event in Spain, with Cidan Yuzhen and Buluer ranking 10th, while Zhang Chenghao and Suolang Quzhen came in 19th.

French duo Thibault Anselmet and Emily Harrop topped the podium. Standing next to them were the host nation's silver medalists Oriol Cardona Coll and Ana Alonso Rodriguez, while Switzerland's Jon Kistler and Marianne Fatton took third place.

Ski mountaineering will make its return to the Winter Games after a 78-year absence, as the only new sport added to the Milano Cortina program.
