The Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt reopened on February 2, marking the first time in nearly two years that it has operated under Israeli oversight. This reopening is part of the second phase of last October's ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. By the end of Monday, around 50 people left Gaza, while another 50 Palestinians – mostly patients completing treatment in Egypt – returned to the strip. CGTN correspondent Rami Almeghari was on the ground in Gaza reporting on this long-awaited reopening.
