Trump blasts Trevor Noah for Epstein joke at Grammys

Updated 17:56, 04-Feb-2026

U.S. President Donald Trump slammed Trevor Noah as "a lousy host" and branded the entire Grammy Awards show "not watchable" in an interview with reporters at the White House on February 2. The president dodged a question from a reporter about whether he plans to sue Noah over a joke alleging links to Jeffrey Epstein.

Noah, a comedian and the host of the 2026 Grammys, made jokes about Trump, saying that "Epstein's Island is gone, he (Trump) needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton," during the show. In response, Trump took to Truth Social to refute him, stating, "I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein," and claimed he would sue Noah.
