China Media Group (CMG) held a press conference on 2026 Spring Festival Gala on Wednesday to introduce the highlights of the program and technological innovations, as well as the official announcement of the host lineup.

Under the theme of "joy, auspiciousness and jubilance," CMG's 2026 Spring Festival Gala draws creative inspiration from the Chinese traditional culture while incorporating innovative elements. It continues to shape "the People's Gala" from multiple dimensions – delight, thoughtfulness, warmth and inspiration – featuring a diverse range of programs.

Ren Luyu, Sa Beining, Neghmet, Long Yang, Ma Fanshu and Liu Xinyue will jointly host the Beijing main venue of the 2026 Spring Festival Gala.

By leveraging AI-generated imagery and stage extension technologies, the visual presentation is significantly enhanced. Meanwhile, artists from different countries engage in vibrant dialogues through music and dance, showcasing the fusion of diverse civilizations.

This year, humanoid robots will once again grace the Spring Festival Gala stage, "dancing" to new heights. Additionally, the gala will debut the application of new technologies in content production and dissemination, significantly enhancing program quality and production efficiency. CMG remains committed to the innovative integration of culture and technology, crafting a "cultural feast" for New Year's Eve that is rich in intellectual depth, artistic value and visual appeal, and brimming with technological wonders for global Chinese communities and friends worldwide.

Additionally, the accessible version will be broadcast live for the first time on CCTV-15 channel, featuring sign language performances and AI-generated captions to continue "making love barrier-free."

In terms of stage presentation, AIGC special effects technology delivers stunning visual experiences. The hall's stage design is sleek and grand, with the "Galloping Horses" installation combining light diffusion and color layering to create a breathtaking effect of a thousand horses charging across the stage.

The gala will be aired across multiple platforms, including 4K Ultra HD channel, 8K Ultra HD channel and new media platforms such as CCTV News, at 8 p.m. on February 16.

Internationally, English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian channels of CGTN, along with 85 foreign language communication platforms, will cooperate with more than 3,300 media outlets in 200 countries and regions around the world to broadcast and report on the gala.
