The Chinese mainland has announced that travel for Shanghai residents to Kinmen and Matsu, Taiwan-administered islands, will soon resume. Hsiao Hsu-tsen, vice-chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang party, expressed his support for the decision. Hsiao is concluding his trip to the mainland for the Think Tank Forum between the Communist Party of China and the Kuomintang, which had been suspended for over nine years.
