Blending the Chinese sporting spirit and historical memory into a fashion-forward design language, sportswear giant Li-Ning staged a showcase of Eastern sports aesthetics in Milan, Italy ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

During Milan Fashion Week last month, Li-Ning presented 68 looks from its Fall/Winter 2026 collection, injecting streetwise, trendy elements into a foundation of professional sports heritage.

The designs drew inspiration from Altay in China – the cradle of human skiing. Millennia-old rock painting depictions of skiing and the contours of the Altai Mountains were transformed into visual motifs, paying tribute to the enduring spirit of winter sports.

The immersive "ice and snow arena" created on the Fashion Week runway resonates with the upcoming Winter Olympic stage. Beyond the show, Li-Ning provides podium and entrance apparel for the Chinese sports delegation, bringing its exploration of Eastern sports aesthetics from the fashion runway into the arena of elite competition.
