The name Dalai appeared 168 times in the recently released Epstein files, CGTN has confirmed via the U.S. Department of Justice website on Thursday.

Dalai's name appeared throughout numerous personal emails and the index of a book titled "Massage for Dummies," which appeared as a scanned document in files released earlier.

One email received by the late sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein on October 21, 2012, from a redacted sender, said the person wants to attend an event "on island that dalai lama is coming," to which Epstein replied "go to event."

A vast majority of the Dalai name mentions came from Joichi Ito, who previously served as Director of the MIT Media Lab and resigned in 2019 after revealing his program received $1.7 million from Epstein.
