Learning Chinese made easier: Educator and learner share insights at CMG book promotion event

China Media Group (CMG) held a book promotion event and unveiled its book exhibition area in Beijing on Wednesday. Representatives from relevant CMG departments and more than 20 publishing houses, universities and cultural organizations introduced a selection of high-quality works noted for their depth, professionalism and readability.

Among the highlighted works was "Learn Chinese with Ease," a multimedia Chinese-language textbook developed by CGTN in partnership with Beijing Language and Culture University Press. The textbook is developed in strict accordance with the Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education and features a modular curriculum based on the HSK 3.0 test syllabus. It is supported by multimedia resources – including scenario-based videos, grammar micro-lectures and interactive app demos – all tailored for immersive, digital-first learning.

Jiang Liping, a Beijing Language and Culture University professor and chief editor of the textbook, and Yves Mouillet, a news anchor at CGTN French and author of "Pérégrination vers l'Est (Journey to the East)" spoke from the perspectives of both Chinese language educator and learner, offering firsthand insights into effective Chinese learning and cross-cultural understanding.
