China Media Group has deployed specialized broadcast equipment to capture the action at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. The lineup includes the high-speed "Lie Bao" ("Cheetah" in English), which is a self-developed ultra-high speed 4K action camera system.

Previously used at Beijing 2022, "Lie Bao" is capable of tracking athletes at high speeds. CMG has provided a complete suite of special broadcast devices dedicated to speed skating.

"We are deploying 17 pieces of special equipment for the speed skating broadcasts, including the 'Lie Bao' camera system, trackless remote-controlled dolly cameras and several unobtrusive, self-developed mini cameras, all set up within the venue," said CMG special equipment engineer Liu Huixu. "These devices capture the athletes' speed, skate-blade details and facial expressions, to help provide comprehensive and engaging coverage of the events."

China Media Group will be the only global media organization involved in the production of the 8K international public signals at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. CMG is also serving as the main provider of 8K international public signals for the opening and closing ceremonies, in addition to producing international public signals for figure skating and short track speed skating for the first time.
