Champion humanoid robots showcase China's tech at Milano Cortina 2026

The champion delegation of humanoid robots from the first World Humanoid Robot Games visited China Media Group (CMG)'s broadcast studio for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games on Friday, showcasing China's latest breakthroughs in advanced robotics to a global audience.

The champion robots, representing the organizing committee of the World Humanoid Robot Games, welcomed humanoid robots from around the globe to Beijing in 2026 for the second World Humanoid Robot Games and the Humanoid Robot Half Marathon.

The champion delegation traveled to Milan during the Winter Olympics to carry out a series of promotional activities for showcasing frontier robotic technologies. During their visit, the robots also took on new roles as human assistants to help with interviews, demonstrating their applications in real-world working scenarios.

The robot delegation includes winners from the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games, such as champions of the obstacle race, the football competition and the scenario-based test. The robots demonstrated their capabilities across a wide range of fields, including street dance, folk art performances and logistics sorting and handling.

The inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games were jointly hosted by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, CMG and other organizations. The Games saw the launch of the world's first football training venue for humanoid robots, known as the "Panda Eye." Over 500 robots representing 280 teams from 16 countries competed during the Games in 2025.

The 2026 World Humanoid Robot Games will elevate its quality and scale, continuing to build an international platform for competition, exchange and cooperation among humanoid robots.
