The champions of last year's inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games have issued a worldwide invitation, encouraging more international robotics teams to participate in the second edition of the event, set to take place in Beijing later this year.

Held for the first time in Beijing last August, the World Humanoid Robot Games represented a historic step forward in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. The competition brought together 280 teams from 16 countries – including the United States, Germany and Italy – to contend in 26 events. Among the highlights were the world's first humanoid robot 100-meter sprint and a fully autonomous 5v5 robot football match.
