China Media Group (CMG) successfully held the fourth rehearsal for its 2026 Spring Festival Gala on Sunday. The gala features a seamless integration of traditional Chinese culture and cross-cultural exchanges, infusing new ideas and a festive, joyful vibe that spreads the warmth of spring with audiences worldwide.

A soft yet lively song, Lichun–meaning"Establishment of Spring"– captures the essence of the season through imagery of raindrops trickling down rooftops and seeds bursting forth, symbolizing the vitality of nature. A touching ballad poetically portrays children's growth, framing those tender moments like film scenes to reflect the passage of time and the bonds of love.

A dynamic street dance creatively reinterprets various musical instruments, fusing symphonic rhythms with elegant yet playful choreography to embody the spirit of spring.

Another dance piece converges traditional dances from diverse cultures, including the Hani ethnic group's wooden clog dance, the Lisu ethnic group's Achi Mugua dance, Spanish flamenco and Hungarian folk dance. Their diverse styles highlights the appeal of global dance traditions.

A star-studded segment features Jackie Chan, Lionel Richie and other artists performing together, with their singing symbolizing cross-border anticipation for a joyful and prosperous new year.

This year, CMG's "Prelude to the Spring Festival Gala" events have been held in countries including the United States, Russia, France, Italy and various African nations. Through art performances, folk experiences and cultural markets, these events allowed participants to savor Chinese cultural traditions, facilitating the global spread of the Spring Festival's festive and harmonious vibe.
