As host of the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, China is focused on fostering regional cooperation. The theme of this year's APEC "China Year" is "Building an Asia‑Pacific Community to Prosper Together." China will host the APEC meeting in November. The first senior officials' meeting was held in Guangzhou from February 1 to 10, marking the official start of a year-long series of APEC "China Year" activities.
