The 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics officially opened on February 7, Beijing time. The world's gaze is now fixed on Italy, as winter sports athletes from across the globe traverse four major competition zones in the pursuit of Olympic medals.  

The Spanish speed skaters in the video — 17-year-old Aitor Sánchez and 22-year-old Valentina Mendoza — both started on roller skates before transitioning to the ice, skating their way from Madrid to the world. As ice athletes racing against time, they embody speed and freedom on the 400-meter track. They train six days a week with intense sessions combining cycling, weightlifting and skating. In the video, they are fully dedicated to their training, with the Olympic stage serving as the ultimate goal of their relentless efforts. Each push of their blades and every microsecond gained in speed builds momentum for their ascent to international glory.
