Four years ago in Beijing, Laura Nolte won the two-woman bobsleigh gold medal for Germany as the youngest Olympic champion in the sport's history. Sitting down with CGTN’s Dan Williams, she aims to defend her title at Milano Cortina 2026.
"It was such a cool moment," Nolte recalled. "And I think, yeah, with becoming the youngest Olympic champion in Bobs, I also showed that, yeah, the age isn't a limit, like in both directions. You can win young, you can win old. It's cool."
According to Nolte, she and Deborah Levi have been partners since 2018. They have achieved a lot together as both teammates and friends. Nolte revealed that she aims for two golds in Cortina this time.
Speed makes bobsleigh both exciting to watch and dangerous to do. Nolte revealed that she has crashed many times in her career, but also noted that sport helps her keep focused.
